Choose the best in the photography of Latvia!
To create a new and lasting tradition in the culture life of Latvia, this year, for the second time, real estate company “Latio” in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture is presenting Latvia Photography Award of the Year.
The works submitted for the Photography Award of the Year in various categories have been evaluated by knowledgeable judges. However, the same as last year, Latvia Photography Award of the Year cannot do without another very significant – possibly the most important – category: the Viewers’ Choice Award.
On real estate company “Latio” home page www.latio.lv, everyone can vote for beautiful, touching, shocking and simply good photographs.
NOTE! Each voter has only one chance to choose his or her favourite, and for that reason we are accepting only fully completed forms. Don’t forget to indicate the required information!
The votes are being accepted on the home page from October 19 through November 15.
The viewers’ votes will determine the public’s favourite photography artwork of 2007, and five voters will have a chance to attend the Latvia Photography Award of the Year ceremony. The raffle will be held on November 16, in “Latio” office.
The exhibition of this year’s competitors will be held in exhibition hall “Arsenāls” from November 23 through December 16.
The best of Latvia photography in 2007 will be announced on November 29, when the Award of the Year winners will be presented in a ceremony. 2007.
This year, the best in the following categories will be announced: Contemporary art photograph of the year, Documental photograph of the year, Design and advertising photograph of the year. Special awards will also be presented: Award of lifelong contribution to photography, Lighting award, Photography exhibition of the year, Photo album or photography book of the year, and Press photograph of the year.
